The story of El Libertador begins on May 1, 2023 in Guatemala, when Franco Farías creates a newspaper to keep a detailed historical record of the activities of the Libertarian Movement in that country, a movement founded in April 2023. This movement quickly grew and with it also El Libertador Galopante, now its objective was stronger: to open a space for rebel pens and encourage the creation and dissemination of the libertarian ideal.
A year later, Franco traveled to Chile, where he met Susana Gómez, a libertarian also interested in developing her libertarian philosophy. The consequences of this meeting would be decisive: "We must begin to tell the story." Thus, Franco and Susana explained and entrusted the project to César Torres, director of the Chilean Libertarian Movement, who at the time was developing strategies to rally libertarians and continue building the Liberation Army capable of confronting state power.
Today, El Libertador Galopante is the quintessential newspaper of Spanish-speaking libertarian movements. It has editions in Guatemala and Chile, and new manifestations of the liberator's work are expected to soon emerge throughout the region. Each one has the typical touches of the latitude where it is written, but all are united by the desire to move toward a libertarian society.
